Emsland is almost as green as Ireland. Something wonderful springs up here in the summer of 2021:

‚AROUND IRISH DANCE – The Show‘ will celebrate its debut on the stage of the theatre in Meppen. Although numerous lockdowns, the dancers of the school ‚The Arc of Irish Dance e. V.‘, in collaboration with dance schools and artists from all over Germany were able to present the exciting story of an Irish Dancer.

The first dance lesson, the dream – once to stand on stage and the development to a self-confident Irish Dancer are part of the very mixed programme. The audience is fascinated in a journey into Irish and Celtic culture using live music, singing and exotic figure dances. What particularly stands out is the diversity associated with Irish tap dancing. On the one hand, it is the ‚Irish dance – competitions‘ in traditional dresses that are represented in the big spotlight. On the other hand, it is the modern combination with hip hop dance, flamenco and American tap dance that makes for exciting entertainment.

„The show that was created out of the living room“ says Dennis Konusch, teacher of the school, lead dancer and producer of the show. Pure passion and discipline have led to motivating dancers from the most diverse backgrounds to work from home towards a common goal: THE Irish Dance Show from Germany. The friendships that develop ‚cross-culturally‘ to dance fast movements and complex rhythms together, but also the young children who perform their solos as lead dancers, are proof of endless creativity and energy.

AROUND IRISH DANCE – The Show‘ will start its tour in summer 2021 and will enrich the stages of Germany and tell the audience about the affinity for experience, the fun of competitive sport and the development of unlimited self-confidence in the life of an Irish dancer.
